WHEN TO SEEK CARE
If an Ayurvedic product has an odd smell, colour, or texture, or lacks a manufacturing licence number and batch number on the label, do not use it and ask a pharmacist or practitioner to check its authenticity — poor identification and adulteration have caused serious harm, including permanent kidney damage.

- Any suspected adverse reaction to a herbal product whose identity or quality cannot be verified
Never do this
Do not use a product with a wrong or absent botanical identity, missing licence/batch information, or signs of degradation on the assumption that 'natural' material cannot be seriously contaminated — sand adulteration, aflatoxins, and misidentified plants are real and documented hazards.
